Juniors of all ages are able to use our cardiovascular equipment such as the rowing machine, exercise bike and treadmill along with body weight exercises such as squats, press ups and abdominal planks. Our sessions are for all ability levels and you can be confident that our instructors will guide your child through an exercise programme safely and effectively. LED's Get Active Gym sessions (previously known as 'Teen Gym') give 11-15-year olds the opportunity to use our gyms safely under the supervision of our gym team. Additionally, they will be able to improve their social skills and interact with people creating a community. Having friends that they can surround themselves with who are also interested in exercise can be very motivating and keep them motivated to stay active and healthy. The social aspects of fitness and sporting clubs for teens can be very beneficial and encourages them to interact with others. In addition to this they will be able to think more clearly and have more self-awareness and control. Regular exercise can go a long way to help them manage this pressure. The stresses of exams and social pressures can have a big impact on teenagers and they need a way of dealing with this stress. Exercise can create higher levels of energy and productivity allowing them to better express their thoughts and creativity in all aspects of life. Regular exercise can help your junior to become more self-confident and understand how, through hard work, they can achieve their goals. Moderate-to-high intensity exercises can reduce anxiety sensitivity”. Exercising with an anxiety disorder can help reduce symptoms in teens and allow them to calm down.
